Nick Christostomidis - Vice President
Vice President: The duties of a Vice President involve all those of a President whenever the President is absent. In addition to this, the Vice Presidency usually involves giving additional attention to the internal function of the Federation. The Vice President is considered the successor to the President ensuring a smooth transition when the President's term expires.
Nick Christostomidis became the Vice President of the Federation of Pontian Associations of Australia on 18 October 2009. On the same day, all members of the Federation agreed that apart from the Vice President performing his duties in the absence of the President, the Vice President will succeed the President once the President's term is finished. Overwhelming support for Nick's candidacy for the position was due to not only his passion and love for the Pontian culture, but for overseeing the smooth unification of two Pontian Organisations in the city of Wollongong. He serves as Vice President of the Greek Pontian Society of Wollongong and has been acknowledged, together with Matthew Pappadopoulos (President of Greek Pontian Society of Wollongong), as playing a significant role in the unification of the two clubs. His skill in diplomacy and long experience within the community positions himself as not only the ideal Vice President but the next President of the Federation.
