Tasos Athanasiadis & Efthimi Avgetidis - Youth Coordinators
Youth Coordinators: Each youth coordinator is responsible for maintaining relationships with youths of all Pontian Associations as well as fellow Hellenes. A youth coordinator gives the community of youths a voice on the Federation committee and also has a say on all decisions relating to the Federation's goals and direction.
Tasos Athanasiadis (left) and Efthimi Avgetidis (right) have been involved within the Pontian Community from a very young age. Both Tasso and Efthimi play the kemetse (Pontian Lyra), teach dancing and have amassed a wealth of knowledge regarding Pontian culture and traditions. They have both worked very hard in establishing ties amongst youth groups throughout Australia and have contributed vastly to the success of Pontian popularity among the said groups. Their shared goal and focus is to teach authentic Pontian dancing and cultural practices within their respective communities and to promote the enrichment of the Pontian culture and its benefits to every day life. Their opinions weigh heavily on the committee's focus to build up the youth here in Australia securing its future for years to come.
